The Prophet ﷺ did not say look at his wealth; he said: “If someone whose faith and character please you comes to you, then marry him.” That standard has not changed, and the homes built on it are the most stable.
Because God promised His help to those seeking chastity
“There are three whom God has promised to help: the one who marries seeking chastity.” This divine promise asks not for a bank balance, but for a sincere intention and a pure heart.

- ﴿وَأَنكِحُوا الْأَيَامَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ وَإِمَائِكُمْ ۚ إِن يَكُونُوا فُقَرَاءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ﴾Surah An-Nur — Verse 32

Poverty is no barrier to marriage
God did not make wealth a condition for marriage; rather He explicitly promised to enrich whoever marries seeking chastity. Whoever delays marriage waiting for material perfection delays a blessing God had guaranteed.
Faith and character are the foundation
Money comes and goes, status rises and falls, but faith and character are what build a home. Whoever chooses a partner by worldly measure alone builds on sand; whoever chooses by the measure of faith builds on rock.
